In general, the more water soluble the stains are, the easier it is to remove them from easy clean fabrics.
As the stains become less water soluble, addition of soap to water and multiple rounds of cleaning is required.
Below, we grouped some common stains by how easy it is to clean them:

Frequently Asked Questions
How it works?
The nanoparticle fabric treatment causes stain particles to stay on the fabric surface.
When we add liquid to the stained areas, the stain particles are dissolved into the liquid solution.
When we wipe the liquid away with a cloth or paper tower, the dissolved stains are also removed.
Are all stains removable with water?
The more water soluble the stain particles are, the easier it is to clean them.
For stains such as grease that are oil soluble instead, addition of soap to water is required.
Soap have both a water loving end and an oil loving end. This helps to bind the oil stains to water.
What is the difference between easy clean and stain resistance treatment?
Stain resistance treatment
With stain resistance treatment, the fabric becomes hydrophobic and oleophobic.
Water and oil spills bead up on the surface of the fabric due to the protective coating.
As a result, the fabric will not easily become wet due to accidental water and oil spills.
Within a limited time that the beading up persists, stains can be easily wiped away.
However, the effect of this treatment wears off overtime and needs to be reapplied regularly.
Easy clean treatment
For easy clean treatment, the nanoparticles applied prevents stains from penetrating the fabric.
The fabric does not become hydrophoic or oleophobic so accidental spills will wet the fabric.
The stains stay on the fabric surface so they can be easily cleaned by dissolving them in liquid solution.
Its effect is also more permanent compared to stain resistance treatment.
Can you do both easy clean and stain resistance treatment on fabric?
Easy clean and stain resistance treatment use different principles to simplify fabric maintenance.
For easy clean fabrics, liquid need to soak through the fabric to dissolve the stain particles.
With addition of stain resistance, it prevents the dissolving process required for stain removal.
As a result, we recommend customer to do only one form of treatment for your upholstery fabrics.
