Explore our full dining table creation process from wood selection, kiln drying, cutting and slicing to precise woodworking and expert finishing.

  • Wood harvesting

    Wood Sourcing

    • High grade lumber is sourced from reputable lumber yards, selected based on stringent grading standards
  • Wood cutting and splicing

    Cutting and Splicing

    • Lumber is cut along the width and spliced into boards
    • Sections with major defects such as large knots, wormholes, decay, or unsound knots are identified and removed
  • Wood kiln drying facility

    Kiln Drying

    • Freshly harvested lumber undergoes kiln drying for over 80 days to reduce moisture content from 30% – 50% to 8% – 12%
    • This process is essential to minimize the risk of warping or deformation during use
  • Clamp to secure wood panels together

    Tabletop Creation

    • Boards with matching grain patterns are joined using glue and pressure clamps to form the tabletop and other wooden components
  • Mortise creation using machinery

    Woodworking

    • Precision machines are used to cut and shape components like the tabletop bevels, table apron, and legs
    • Mortise and tenon joints are also crafted at this stage for strong and durable connections

    Assembly and Inspection

    • The tabletop and apron are joined using mortise and tenon joints further reinforced with glue
    • Each piece is carefully inspected and the table is test assembled
  • Sanding wood surface using equipment

    Sanding

    • All wooden components are sanded a minimum of four times both by machine and hand for a smooth, refined surface
  • Applying wood finish with brush

    Finishing

    • Each wooden piece receives at least four coats: two base coats and two top coats to ensure protection and aesthetic appeal
    • After finishing, the pieces are air-dried for at least 72 hours to eliminate residual odour
