Upholstery

Changing sofa upholstery material and colour is easily done when the new upholstery material has similar dimensions to the default option
This similarity ensures efficient utilization of upholstery material and enable the factory to use similar cutting and stitchings to create the sofa upholstery
However, if the new material differs significantly in dimensions - for example, using leather measured by hide size in inches instead of fabric measured in yards, significant adjustments in cutting and stitching may be necessary
In addition, when there are significant differences in upholstery dimensions, adjustments can also potentially lead to a significant increase in cost as upholstery utilization rate drops significantly

Customizing sofa dimensions, particularly those related to the sofa frame, is generally more challenging apart from sofa width
Sofa frames are built using pre-existing frame molds, any changes to the dimensions require the creation of a new mold
This process incurs a high cost which makes it impractical to customize the frame for a single sofa
As a result, we support frame related customizations only if the factory already has alternative molds available
Movable components like backrest cushions and sofa legs, which are assembled after the frame construction, are much easier to customize and can be tailored more readily to suit individual preferences
