Customised Cuddle Sofa for a Singapore Doctor’s Clinic

A Vision for Comfort and Style

When a doctor in Singapore approached us with an idea to furnish her clinic, she already had her eyes on our Cuddle half leather sofa. Drawn to its modern silhouette and inviting form, she saw it as the perfect addition to her newly renovated space. But beyond the aesthetics, she had a few practical needs in mind—she was looking for a more tailored fit, one that would suit her personal comfort.

Customising for Height and Ergonomics

Standing over 175cm tall, she expressed a desire for a deeper seat and a taller backrest, key elements that would significantly improve comfort for taller individuals. Specifically, she requested a seat depth of 65cm and a backrest height of 50cm. While we had offered a 50cm backrest height in past projects, the deeper seat would be a new customization for the Cuddle model. We assured her that we’d look into the feasibility with our factory.

Feasibility and Approval

After checking in with our manufacturing team, we confirmed that the requested seat depth could indeed be produced. The factory also provided a breakdown of the additional cost required to execute these changes. Once we shared the information, the doctor gave her approval without hesitation. A 50% deposit was placed to secure the order, and she mentioned that her clinic renovation would likely complete by February 2025.

Production Planning and Final Confirmation

With her renovation timeline in mind, we scheduled the production to align with her clinic’s completion. Every step was coordinated — from verifying her customization details to quality-checking the final product. Before shipping, we presented her with images of the final sofa, showcasing the deeper seats and taller backrest, exactly as requested.

Delivery and a Delighted Customer

The sofa was delivered smoothly to her clinic, and we’re happy to share that she was delighted with the final result. It’s always a joy to turn a customer’s vision into a tangible reality, especially when comfort, design, and functionality come together as seamlessly as they did in this project.
