How We Helped a Customer Customise His Crescent L Shape Sofa Perfectly
When a customer reached out to us, he wanted to furnish his newly renovated home with our Crescent Fabric L Shape Sectional Sofa, complete with an ottoman. He had his eye on a clean and modern aesthetic that would complement the rest of his home, and he was looking for the right size to suit his layout.
He was deciding between the 260cm and 280cm versions of the Crescent sectional for his space. We recommended the 280cm option if his space could accommodate it, as it would create a more proportionate and visually balanced effect. While a width difference of 10cm to 20cm typically does not affect the overall appearance significantly, maintaining consistent seat width across each module helps to make the sofa look more cohesive. Note that the seat width refers to the seatable space for each module and this exclude the armrests widths for the chaise and end units. The 280cm version allowed for a more consistent seat width for the three modules, hence our recommendation.
Next, we discussed backrest cushion height. The customer shared that wanted a higher support, particularly around the neck. The standard Crescent model comes with a 44cm backrest, which supports up to the shoulder level. To meet his requirement, we customised his sofa with a 54cm backrest height that offered some support to the neck without compromising on the looks of the sofa too much.
Fabric choice was also an important decision for this customer, especially as he owns a pet and wanted something easy to maintain. He was also keen on finding a tone that matched the dark walnut colour of his other furnitures. After discussing various options, we settled on Furla 45, a pet friendly, light brown fabric that worked perfectly with his colour palette.
With all the customisation details finalised, the customer asked whether it would be more cost effective to order directly through us or on Shopee, where he had a $50 voucher. We were happy to provide side by side quotes so he could compare both options clearly and choose whichever suited him best.
Once the order was confirmed, we moved into production and kept him updated with a preview of the finished product within two weeks. With his approval, we arranged for shipping right away.
The sofa took another two weeks to arrive in Singapore, and we completed the delivery to his home smoothly. It was a satisfying project, and the customer was delighted to see how every detail had come together just as he had envisioned.
