How We Customised a High Back Sofa in Pet Friendly Leather
Share
When our customer first came to us, he was looking for a sofa with a high backrest. Comfort was important to him, and he wanted a model that would offer good support while fitting nicely into his living room. The Charles Faux Leather Sofa caught his eye. He liked the clean look and structured shape. It seemed like the right piece for his newly renovated home.
He was also very clear about the colour. He wanted a dark blue shade to match the feature wall around his console area. The colour had to complement the rest of his home’s palette, but there was something else too. The material had to stand up to the playful habits of his pet dog. Scratches were a real concern. We introduced him to our Pet Friendly Faux Leather Series, which is designed to handle everyday wear from pets. Out of the options we shared, he preferred the Dias series. It had the right texture and a solid, elegant finish.
To make sure the sofa matched his vision, we brought over swatches from both the Dias and Run series to his place that is still undergoing renovation. He placed the swatches next to the console wall so he could see how the colours worked in the actual lighting and setting. It was a smart move, and one that made a clear difference. After testing the shades, he decided on Dias 34, the darkest blue available in the collection. It had the richness he was after and matched the colour of his TV wall well.
To help him picture the final outcome, we showed him a Crescent L shape Sectional Sofa sample that we had already delivered that happens to be also upholstered in Dias 34. This gave him confidence. Seeing the full form of a sofa in the colour he had chosen helped him imagine how his own would look. The sample sealed the decision, and we moved on to the next step.
The original Charles sofa came with a pair of sledge-like stainless steel legs. He felt they did not suit the sleek, modern feel of his home. We showed him a tapered leg version that we had created for a different customer. This design was simple, timeless, and more in line with what he had in mind. He liked it immediately, and we agreed to go ahead with that leg style instead.
Once the custom choices were confirmed, we began production post order placement. The production process took two and a half weeks. As soon as the sofa was completed, we sent him a photo of it at the factory floor. He was pleased with how it turned out. After getting his go-ahead, we arranged for shipment to Singapore. The timing worked out well, as his renovation was nearing completion too.
The delivery arrived just in time. His home was almost ready, and the sofa was the final piece to bring the space together. It now sits proudly in his living room, with a high back for comfort, a rich blue tone to match his wall, and a tough faux leather that is ready for his dog’s daily play. A sofa made just for him, from colour to comfort.
